Observation details
Merlin sound ID of Yellow-eyed Junco, consistent with note in Sibley that "Red-backed form of Dark-eyed Junco approaches Yellow-eyed in appearance and voice". Recorded. Singing perched in good light, and no yellow eye seen. (Note: until I saw that comment in Sibley I was wondering if it was a DEJU-YEJU hybrid because I had been camping with someone who had seen a YEJU in this area near Turkeyfeather Pass.)
