Observation details
**rare; found yesterday by Robyn. Refound the bird very close to where it was yesterday just a little further down at the switchback. (42.8559493, -72.5468599) Beautiful male. I turned around one of the switchbacks and immediately heard much more pure song not that of a BT blue mimic song. Once getting eyes on I could pick out the blue streaked flanks and white undersides. Blue chest band was noticeable but hard to see in overcast skies. Once sun came out the blue really popped and I could make out the bird much better. Blue head, back, and “necklace” were very noticeable in bright light. I believe this bird is undoubtedly on territory. Constant singing and even chasing off another warbler shortly after I spotted it. Photos and audio recording. Incredible lifer!
