Observation details
Merlin picked up a Cape May Warbler at the same time that we saw this one. However, it had very obvious yellow on the underside of its tail and a red eyebrow, rather than red on the face. It was fluttering around a group of pine trees much lower down and less timid than the other warblers we saw, even the Yellow-rumped Warblers. It also flicked its tail, a bit like some flycatchers do, which is consistent with a Palm Warbler.
