Observation details
Large, all dark, sickle-winged swift- wings longer and more streamlined than on Vaux’s with longer tails too. Traditional time and location to see this species, sometimes in great numbers. Still a bit early for peak flight numbers. Mostly higher up today- needed to scan sky with bins to pick them up. Started stationary survey at 0620 and stopped by 0820. First 2 @ 0634, 2 @ 0726, 7 @ 0728, 8 @ 0749, and 26 @ 0755. Took quick photos with iPhone as flock of 26 passed overhead- not an easy species to get photos of!
