Observation details
Sitting on the low rocky jetty that runs in front of the apartment complex; on the side facing Cormorant Cove park initially but then moved (and bobbed) to the Charles Richey Sr.-facing side. Found by fellow birder Alex--many thanks! We would never have found it, it was so camouflaged against the rocks. Dark gray with yellow legs; barring on chest visible when it moved to the other side of the rocks. Photo. Thanks to Greg Harrington for finding this bird.
