Observation details
Bird had white underparts trait of Golden-winged Warbler and thin black eyeline trait of Blue-winged Warbler. White throat, yellow crown, gray nape and gray upperparts. Wing bars were present but I had difficulty seeing them due to bird’s orientation. I don’t have enough experience with these hybrids to know if the lack of yellow wash on the breast means that this particular bird was possibly a backcross with a Brewster’s and a Golden-winged.
