Observation details
Ongoing rarity. Calidris sandpiper with and elongated body (long wings and tail) . Greenish-yellowish legs. Slightly downcurved bill. Greyish upperparts with blackish spots on scapular feathers. Some rufous edging on scapular feathers. Belly white, unmarked. Not seen in flight but long white wingstripe seen when the bird was bathing and preening. Photographed. Seen by a large group of birders.
