Observation details
Female. See photos. Yellow wing bars, dark (but not solid black) mask and throat patch, pale yellow breast and belly, white undertail coverts, yellow cap. Not vocalizing. Foraging sluggishly in dense mid-level vegetation near forest edge for 5 minutes then dropped to near ground level and remained out of sight for a while. Found by Elora Grahame on the east side of Chinquapin trail just as it enters Cactus Field from the south. Initially seen just meters from the trail, then flushed in a bit further (~10m).
