Observation details
The feather characteristics of an IMMATURE Black Drongo seen perched on a tree branch is different than the ADULT one. The IMMATURE Black Drongo has a shiny black head, face, nape and neck. Whereas, the mantle, rump, lower upperpart, side wings including the tail is glossy platinum grey. The feathers are seen to have the effect of iridescence under favorable lighting conditions. It has a strong bill, slightly reddish eye and long forked tail. As observed, the IMMATURE one is less noisy.
