Media notes
A single bird producing (in Pieplow's terminology) snarls, chuckles, and rattles. Not sure if the high notes were made by a jay or something else.
Observation details
Giving at least three different vocalizations, none of which I'd previously have attributed to a jay. One of them - Pieplow calls it a "rattle" - resembles the sound made when you turn the key on a car with a bad starter. I don't know if the repeated high notes were made by a jay or not.
