Observation details
One gull was a large juvenile (1st summer) with a larger dark tipped bill, dark mantle, smudgy face, two toned wings (in flight), and barring in lower belly/tail. It stayed apart from the others on the island but flew away with Ring-billed Gulls. Edit: had originally called this a Ring-billed. I had checked guidebooks and debated between CA and RBGU and then took the safe route with my list but thankfully got feedback from an expert and changed my checklist to CAGU.
