Media notes
Possible playback — listened to low-volume reference recording and bird began singing shortly after. May have been causal or coincidental.
Observation details
Continuing at Muscota Marsh, best "looks" from the balcony. Singing and moving quite actively among the reeds while staying very hidden. "Accidental playback" possibly used — while waiting I pulled up a recording on my phone at pretty low volume (~15%) just to refresh my memory on what I was listening for... the real wren started singing and hopping around very shortly after! Can't say for sure whether it was coincidence or it heard me over the wood chipper(!!!) running nearby. Thanks to the Birding Spouses for first reporting.
