Observation details
On shore by the walkway that goes out to the boats. Same size as nearby Sanderlings and noticeably bigger than Spotted Sandpipers. More elongated body than SAND, with medium length, slightly decurved bill with reddish base to lower mandible. Bold white supercilium. Overall grayish but with hint reddish on scapulars. Fine streaking on breast and below curve of wings. Not showing streaking on flanks yet, but likely not fully mottled yet. White rump seen in flight when it flushed out onto the tire flotilla.
