Observation details
Heard and seen on west side of park along berm. Loud classic "reeer" and "kik-reer" calls. Possibly a third (fledgling?) calling from further on pond. Larger boisterous flycatchers with yellow underparts and distinctive black-and-white head pattern. Brick-colored upperparts and tail. White throats. Both birds observed were adults (the ongoing pair at this site). I did not observe the nest and am unsure of the status, though I would imagine the chicks ought to be hatched (if not nearly fledged) by now since the nest was seemingly initiated in late March).
