Observation details
🟠 I initially saw a group of Common Terns fly by the gazebo and did not pick out any Forster’s. Shortly later, 2 terns flew by very close to shore and I immediately picked out the whiter wings and longer tails. One bird even dove for a fish right off the jetty at the boat launch, only to be chased by two RBGU seconds after. Both birds were calling frequently. They flew south, circled around the long pier for a little bit (where I potentially saw a third), and then out of sight to the south. Photos attached also reveal a more orange-based bill than would be expected with COTE.
