Observation details
Cliff Swallows have been building nests in the north end of the park under the bridge where the cement trail and the creek go under K Ave. Observed Cliff Swallows coming and going. There was a larger nest than those of the cliffs which I assume to be the nest of Cave Swallows. Many of the Cliff Swallow nests are in the slits in the roof where they are mostly not visible and the swallows enter the nests from underneath. There are also more of the traditional type of Cliff Swallow nests in areas not in the photograph. In one of the photos there is a fuzzy image of a bird sitting on top of a larger nest. I could not identify visually that any of the birds were Cave Swallows.
