Observation details
Studied this bird for quite some time with Erica Harris. Considered Eastern Phoebe because of lack of eye ring, faint wingbars, but based on blown out back of camera photos experts thought is a Willow. The bird was very bac- lit. First seen on the rocks where the Rock Wren used to hang out and appeared to be an out of place Black Phoebe from the back. Front, including throat was white with strong contrast with dark nape and crown. Small all black bill. Frequent tail wagging, down, up and back to neutral. Based on photos, and observation by Nina, this appears to be an Eastern Phoebe after all. Apparently second Mount Davidson record. Observed most of the time from 37.738592,-122.452078
