Observation details
I first heard the "pick-ticky-tuck" calls, although it took a few seconds to realize what I was hearing. I was able to locate the completely bright red bird perched in an isolated oak tree in the pasture, continuing to call. The bird had no black on the wings or tail like a SCTA, no crest or black face like a male NOCA. I was able to get some audio, which is attached. This is the third record of a SUTA in our yard. We had a first-year male visit on 6/10/2015, and a female-type SUTA on 9/28/19.
