Observation details
*RARE!! Wow! Not a bird Theo and I expected for our Big Day! We originally saw the WEVI after trying to refind the CONW. The initial impressions were green backed vireo with gray head and yellow eye stripe. Upon shouting “WHITE EYED VIREO” we moved in to get photos and better looks! We watched the bird for about 5 minutes as it worked down the point and we never saw it again. Photos (44.5122852, -92.3140849) Notes after observation: Upon looking at Theo’s Photos, the white wing bars, yellow spectacles, green forehead, white throat, and yellow chest further support WEVI. Similar species we considered was YTVI and BHVI. The gray head eliminates both of these, and the yellow spectacles with contrasting white eyes eliminate BEVI. Appears to be 3rd county record! Documentation to be submitted to MOURC!
