Observation details
Never seen anything quite like this. Large sections of the gravel path in the off leash dog portion of the park were literally covered with flocks of 20-30 warblers, their abundance increasing at every turn. My rough estimate is that about 70% of them were adult males, and that of those adult males, about 8-10% had white throats (I am not using the term “Myrtle” here because I understand that subspecies ID is not as simple as what color their throat is). Either way, a wild experience to see such large groups of warblers foraging on the ground, being incredibly tame, and in such great numbers.
