Media notes
We set up a game cam close to the nestbox. (The date and time on the camera are not right.) This appears to be the visit to the nest I observed.
Observation details
We have been aware of a saw-whet nesting in one of our nestboxes since March 20th. Tonight, I thought I'd take a look and see what kind of action was taking place around the nestbox. After sunset, while there was still enough light. I sat down in a hidden location and watch through the binoculars. I saw the female looking out the hole. After a while, I heard a clicking behind me, and that drew her attention. I then heard a very faint (and familiar) saw-whet call. The female then disappeared down into the box and shortly after, the male flew to the box and (I imagine) dropped some food in the box and flew off again.
