Observation details
Singing from multiple perches at east end, including Camp Sycamore. Eventually moved to west, singing from perches on east slope of central high point in nature area. As I finished, it had moved further west, to NW corner of central high point - near the desert section and pond. It’s clearly covering a lot of space so caution needed regarding the reports of 2 SPTOs. Reported multiple times in past 2-3 weeks but with no or minimal documentation. Rare and irregular at this location - likely a recent arrival - did not winter on site and breeding here is undocumented. All reports should be documented. Continuous singing suggests establishing territory/soliciting mate as a new arrival.
