Observation details
Heard in the willows along the trail with Chris H., Karen P., and Malia D.. Chris, Malia, and I followed the bird around for about an hour getting nice but brief looks when it would pop up or fly. It was first reported by Chris H. along the trail as you’re heading toward riparian area. When I arrived at 0935 we heard it several times in this location. It then moved around a lot. Later it flew low and into willows NE of the parking lot. It would go silent for several minutes and then we would hear it again and move slowly and quietly to try and get better looks and pix. Fun little chase! Bird is slightly larger and heavier than CATO. Longish tail, wings/back/tail are olive-brown. Bold yellow below with white undertail, and bright eye ring. Recordings and unsatisfying fuzzy photos.
