Observation details
Continuing bird, first seen May 5. Distant digiscopes. Seen in the riparian thicket nearly 1/2 mile to the west of Bannock Bench Rd. Most of the time it was perched, while preening and scanning. Ravens would come and perch close to it every so often. Eventually, it flew to the ground where it was actively hunting, sometimes scratching in the tall grass. At one point thought it may have gotten a vole. When we returned from the north after 45 minutes it was perched once again in the thicket.
