Observation details
Gray face, all white throat and underparts with no streaking, yellowish-orange patches on the sides just cranial to the wing. Darker upperparts, tail had same yellow-orange color on the upper half of the tail when viewed from below. See terrible phone pics. Initially heard a short and somewhat metallic and fairly loud chip-type call coming from the clump of dense trees here: (33.8355288, -118.0948148), saw the bird, and then watched the bird fly north to an orange tree here: (33.8358725, -118.0949351). It then flew north again to a fig tree next to a concrete wall in a residential backyard. About 10 minutes later I heard the chip call again coming from the first group of trees I saw the bird in. This area is south of Los Coyotes but north of the stone bench, adjacent to the large power pylon directly north of the stone bench.
