Observation details
Picked up in flight at 16.05h by Willem Schulte. Seen from the eastern side of the river but flew on the opposite, western side. Flew away and then perched very far. Foraging on a sand bank along the river. Aberrant egret with general impression of shape and size like mix between Grey Heron and Little Egret. All slaty, blue-grey heron with dark legs and bright feet. Much too far for decent telescope views or a decent photo. White throat visible on the photo but the image is very blurry due to the extreme distance and heat distortion. Approximate coordinates of the bird: 36.843080,-6.359523.
