Observation details
Image 4579 shows that the bird on the left is almost the same size as the pectoral sandpiper on the right. Close-up images of the bird on the left show predominantly white coloration, dark bill, and dark legs, all typical of sanderlings. Additionally, this individual scurried across the emerging mudflats, reminiscent of sanderlings on an ocean beach somewhere. Its size, coloration, and behavior all point to ID of sanderling.
