NOTES: Recorded early morning. Hoarse "zeep" note given in flight. Dubbed from reel 8 Kavik River camp. Credit CAGSL where feasible. [I believe that all calls of the phalarope here represent the "zhee" contact-call described in BNA account (said to be given as bird flew around). I suspect that the soft "twittering" was instead given by a passerine (possibly Carduelis, Calcarius, or Plectrophenax?). Quality changed from 2-3 to 2-3, 2 (BEST series at 0:19-0:225, but with one good call at 0:425) - CAM - 18 February 2005].
