Observation details
Station first! Banded. Found in the bottom pocket of mist net #6 in the shrub swamp just W of Fenton Brook. Once I saw white and yellow in the net I immediately thought PROW! but did not allow myself to get too excited because BWWA are all over the place and much much more likely--even in shrub swamp net. Upon approaching the net my excitement grew until it reached fever pitch when I saw the plain yellow face of a 100% PROW!!! So cool!!!! I've been hoping for a truly rare bird for the station. I thought it might be a GWWA or a CERW but never really thought we would get a PROW. Amazing! Ironically, Maya Vernick, one of our spring interns, found a four leaf clover at the banding station on this morning. Cashed that in! ASY female.
