Observation details
Three distinct individuals of differing ages. All observed from about 650 feet (according to google maps) through binoculars and scope in bright sunlight. Observation lasted off an on for over an hour. First bird was an adult. Dark gray mantle, yellow legs, white underneath, white head, yellow bill with reddish gonydeal spot and white mirrors in wing tips. Second bird I observed appeared to be a third year bird. Dark gray mantle, pale fleshy colored legs that appeared more pink than yellow, white underneath, white head, yellow bill with dark ring near the tip a reddish gonydeal starting to show, no mirrors in the primaries. Third bird was a first year. Very dark gray mantle compared to even the darkest of the nearby first year Herring and Ring-billed gulls. Intermediate in size between those two species, but having a more slender profile than Herring with long wings. Legs appeared pale yellow, very dirty white underneath and on head. All dark bill.
