Observation details
Bizarre eruptive visitor from last week’s find. Sticking with a mixed flock of WCSP, NOCA, and SPTO a little more than halfway up the field road from the CER. Initially heard the towhee-style call and pished the bird out into the open for a solid 20 second view without my camera. The bird subsequently flew into dense brush and called for a while before quieting. On the return pass I had better luck patiently waiting for the bird to forage in the adjacent grass with other sparrows. *Anyone wishing to chase this bird should be very mindful of the farmer and stay away from the heavy equipment*** Hornsby lifer!
