Observation details
Had wonderful extended views when we first arrived, seen at the edge of the mowed field behind the the fenced-in (water?) facility by the parking lot. What looked like maybe a Lincoln’s Sparrow sitting at the top of a vine tangle turned out to be a towhee with a bright rufous cap, vivid olive wings and smooth gray flanks. Watched it sunning itself until it was done and flew down and instantly vanished into low brush. From photos, appears to be the same bird reported here 11/16
