Observation details
Counted overall flock on breakwater by 50s. Got to halfway with 1700 birds, and the sun was inhibiting my ability to see birds. Doubled the count at that time. Estimating the percentages of each of the main species present as 85% Brandt’s, 7.5% brown pelican, 7.5% western gulls. Rounded to the nearest number dividable by 50.
