Observation details
We saw a swan offshore early in the morning but it was too distant to ID and almost completely in line with the sun. At the end of the census, we saw an adult pair of Trumpeter Swans floating along the beach/inlet. Considering how unusual an offshore swan is here in late April, it's likely that it was one of these birds, and there was a second one with it that we couldn't see. Alex Pellegrini commented that there was a recent movement of multiple TRUS pairs near Jug Bay, so maybe these were some of those birds.
