Observation details
This was a real surprise, a congregation of big flocks all around Stage Island Pool, and some good sized groups elsewhere. Did our best to estimate carefully. It was a bit like August, only not so epic. There had been some sort of hatch (?) of bugs that looked like they were aquatic insects. Photos: John Linn
