Observation details
Near-full adult found and posted by Bill/Eric/Sarah Lamond, and seen earlier by Paul/Liz Hunter and Mike Nelson. Stunning large sparrow with black face and throat, gray cheeks, large pink bill, and otherwise typical Zonotrichia upperparts (and behaviour). An extremely rare bird for Pelee, especially in the spring. Also a very fortunate catch-up to this Pelee/Essex/World lifer I’ve missed 6 times in the county previously!
