Observation details
Discovered a male House Sparrow in our yard by the bird feeders, chocolate brown on back of head, gray crown, dark mask in front of eyes extending below chin, very warm, creamy tone on wing feathers. All light, gray chest, belly and center of back between wings, thick black bill. Very common bird in my home country Germany and also in places down south but not here in Juneau. I believe this is only the third recorded House Sparrow for the Juneau area.
