Observation details
Being harassed by two red bellied woodpeckers. Unbelievable. Solid deep red covers whole head like a hood. Solid Black wings and back, no pattern at all. White belly and lower back. I took pictures but with an iPhone. Hopefully one of them will turn out enough. Location is on the pave Trail almost to Madison. There’s a long retaining wall for the houses above the creek. At the beginning of that retaining wall when coming from 28th St. The individual was on a dead broken off trunk of a tree across the creek. Just follow the sound of the agitated red bellied woodpeckers.
