Observation details
I had just stepped out of the car when it cruised by fairly low about 100 yards away with good light at my back. I assumed Turkey Vulture but when I got it in my binoculars it was clearly a Zone-tailed Hawk - white bands in tail, finely barred primaries from below, and a yellow cere. I went for my camera but it had moved rather far away so my best photo shows only a dark raptor with its wings in a slight dihedral and, faintly, pale feet. On my camera, but not really on the computer, barring can be made out under the primaries. Sixth county record I am aware of, four of which are well-documented.
