Observation details
Flushed a small rail with white trailing edge in low light at 6:09 a.m at the coordinates (42.8012854, -85.9784769). Seemed quite a bit smaller than Sora that I flushed later, about sparrow sized. Tried to convince myself it was a Sora I saw while feeling delirious. Worked to refind for the next 45 minutes or so. Finally, sang at 6:54 a.m from slightly south of where I was standing. Have a garbage audio recording with the classic “tapping stones” sound, alternating 2-3-2 tap pattern. Rude SWSP had to interrupt the star of the show, but YERA can be heard between 0:03 and 0:07 in the recording
