nearly complete breeding plumage. golden/ yellow spangled back, crisp black face outlined in white. black belly, however undertail covert feathers were white with some black spotting. more white on flanks than expected for american golden-plover. foraging actively here 41.8566500, -121.4941520, with other shorebirds.
