Observation details
All white gull seen preening out in water during rainstorm. No other gulls nearby for size comparison. No black on primaries, no distinct mantle, pinkish bill/legs, and black spot on bill suggests 2nd cycle Glaucous Gull. While viewed in the field, there was no black/dark on primaries. The dark spots seen in the photo are from the wind blowing the primary feathers towards the head of the bird, creating a shadow. There are also feathers seen on the right wing in the same position also creating a shadow. I should have taken the time for a better documentation photo.
