Observation details
Was chased out of the tangles at long bridge by another bird, presumably the Kentucky that was calling from inside the tangles. When I first got it in my binoculars I immediately thought worm-eating (since I had one at long bridge yesterday and superficially the two are similar) but then quickly it registered that this is a SWAINSON’S!! Rufous cap, large bill and chunky size. Only got a two second visual but thankfully it sang after being chased from the tangles. Pulled out Merlin praying it would sing again and thankfully it did. Recording attached with no people talking, no Cardinals or Carolina Wrens drowning out the bird I’m trying to record and no airplanes flying overhead. It’s a Sunday miracle!
