Observation details
Scarce Bird Alert!! Only second ever seen at the home. A warbler seen about 100’ up going into a tulip poplar bloom mid afternoon. It came out and I saw the yellow throat and vent and the striped face with the rufous crown. Had only seen them on or near the ground in parklands. Saw several times later - kept takting random shots in its general direction and got the first picture at the home. Can make an ID from the yellow, black, and white pattern on the tail.
