Observation details
Several of these birds in the oaks in the savanna area north of the dog park and beyond and singing. Chipping Sparrows were singing nearby giving good contrast between their harder more insect-like calls and the more melodic and warbling calls of the Pine Warblers. One bird had densely marked breast sides striped somewhat like a Prairie Warbler. Thought it might be a Yellow Warbler when it was first seen, but as seen in the photos it has the yellow googles or eye-arcs and was singing like a Pine Warbler. Oak leaves not out yet and rolling terrain allowed me to be at higher elevation than the tree base bird was on good for photos. Had to eliminate some, didn't know I had taken that many.
