Observation details
Continuing, wintering and elusive nomad; discovered by Ike I (2/22). Thanks, Ike!! :)) Subadult (?) with minimal black barring on its belly; thin, white frontal patch at the base of its bill that hasn’t extended to the top of the forehead yet; pinkish-orange bill; brownish-gray upper parts, brownish underparts and white below the belly; orange legs and feet; white rump; slender in the midsection and lower belly (no potbelly) vs a domestic. 1631 – nice spot by Neely, along Springdale, west of the moat, foraging alongside a Canada Goose (CANG). Loosely associated with the CANG and briefly drank some water and floated in the water before returning alongside his buddy, a CANG.
