Observation details
Adult bird that flew across power lines heading west. Striking my eye as being much more heavily marked than our standard eastern (borealis), so much so that I am resubmitting as said Rare/Uncommon northern ssp.Dark Hooded appearance with minimal white showing at enclosed throat and dense rusty dribbling extending to wash breast. Dark, blobby belly band running along flanks giving vested look. Richly marked underwing coverts and wide bleeding pataglia bands. All classic field marks representive of Abieticola (Northern) RTHA.
