Observation details
One female and two males seen at once here and here: 37.0634643, -121.2064340 and 37.063464, -121.206434. Another female seen here: 37.063000, -121.205000. Another female seen here: 37.065667, -121.201639. Five is a conservative count, we saw up to 7 or 8 but can’t be sure all were distinct birds- five represents the individuals we're sure are distinct. Hunched green hummingbirds with rather short bill. Female-type birds extremely small (notably smaller than nearby Anna's Hummingbird). Very pale belly and throat, but throat with faint streaking. Male-type birds also extremely small, also rather pale below, but with obvious streaky pink gorget. All males observed did courtship shuttle and dive displays with buzzy call, usually at nadir of dive. Female birds were mostly silent, but I believe I got a recording of one giving metallic chip calls. Will upload photos and the recording if the recording is usable.
