Observation details
Same bird observed yesterday, readily identifiable by missing P7 on right wing and ratty primaries overall. Yesterday felt pretty confident in ID due to apparent small size and "pointy" wings. More extended views today and better photos with same features noted. Later apparently called to confirm its identity for the Burrells. Quickly (re-)learning how useless P9/P5 "trick" is - subtle changes in flight posture basically erase any difference altogether and can give a rather rounded appearance to the wing if frozen in time. Also reached out and received positive feedback and tips on the ID - thanks BH. Anxious to study and extensively photograph this bird if it lingers further. It arrived at the Tip early once again and seems to work a daily circuit between Tip-West Beach-East Beach North of Sparrow Field.
