Observation details
Young captive-reared female #16-23, aka Animal, took refuge for the day in a suburban front yard. She lost her way after getting separated from her flock during spring migration. Gleaming white with a bit of rust in the rump, black turning to red on face. Banded with radio transmitter. After observation and consideration of options, she was eventually rescued by ICF (with direct assist from IDNR and local volunteers on the scene), inspected by a local vet, pronounced to be in good shape, driven back to WI and released at Horicon Marsh near ICF headquarters the next morning.
